Rod is a partner of Sangra Moller LLP. His practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate finance, mining and commercial law. Mr. Talaifar has acted for both private and publicly listed companies, including companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange.  He has advised clients on various matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, take-over bids, Canadian and cross-border debt and equity offerings, initial public offerings, mining joint ventures, corporate governance, proxy contests, internal investigations and public company disclosure and compliance.

Rod is an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Law, where he teaches Advanced Corporate Law - Advising Public Companies.

Rod received a B.A in 2001 and an LL.B in 2007, both from the University of British Columbia. He joined the firm as a summer student in 2006 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2008.
