We believe in giving back to the communities in which we work and live. Our partners, associates, staff and other personnel are encouraged to be active in our communities, whether it is through financial contributions, volunteerism, fundraising or other initiatives, including for a diverse variety of organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, The Vancouver Art Gallery, the University of British Columbia and multicultural community organizations.

Specific to the legal industry, we are also committed to supporting and nurturing legal education and mentorship. To this end, the firm and its partners have made significant contributions to the Peter A. Allard School of Law, including its fundraising and scholarship programs. Our lawyers have devoted a significant amount of time volunteering as adjunct professors or participating in various legal mentorship programs.

Our approach to community engagement is flexible - We encourage our personnel to be involved with community organizations where they believe their efforts will be most rewarding and impactful, and seek to support such endeavors.

We also strive to create an environment where everyone can bring their authentic, full selves to work and thrive. Our culture promotes a respectful, supportive workplace environment, where all people feel accepted for who they are, experience a sense of belonging and are empowered to unite across differences.
