Harj is one of the founding partners of Sangra Moller.  He received his LL.B. from the University of British Columbia in 1984.  Harj was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1985.

Harj is recognized in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory as one of the "repeatedly recommended" corporate finance and securities lawyers in British Columbia. Harj practices exclusively in the areas of corporate finance, securities and mergers & acquisitions. 

Harj has acted for both public and private corporations on a variety of matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings and reorganizations.  He has led strategic acquisitions by financial investors as well as developed innovative acquisition and financing structures for significant public companies.  Harj has led and provided strategic advice to public and private companies on various negotiated and hostile takeovers and proxy contests.  He has extensive experience with corporate and financial reorganizations and debt restructurings.  He is also experienced with cross-border offerings and acquisitions and European transactions.  Harj has provided advice to public and private companies in various aspects of their corporate governance practices.  He has also provided advice to special committees on specific transactions and to boards of directors on their fiduciary responsibilities and liabilities generally.  He has specialized knowledge of the British Columbia forestry sector.
